As is always the case, whenever a new Mac is revealed, reviewers scramble to compile a list of Windows computers that are comparable but cost several hundred dollars less. Anything to reinforce the concept that Macs are premium priced, elite systems.
What I find moat interesting is the reaction of the other manufacturers. Dell and HP have cut the price of their higher end laptops - the Adamo and Envy - to bring their prices in line with the Air.
In addition, the CES announced Air clone from Samsung is actually several hundred dollars higher than the Air.
But Apple is the premium priced manufacturer?
